  • DESCRIPTIONThis front yard butterfly garden interests more than just flying creatures. Passersby stop to enjoy the flowers and butterflies, and comment on the garden's beauty. Installed by Wilcox Nursery & Landscape, this garden is a hub of activity! We help keep the meadow happy by weeding, identifying and tending native seedlings, pruning only where necessary to encourage health and flowering, fill in plants here or there, and mulching lightly. Many native flowers seed in bare soil, so we keep mulch light to encourage plants to reseed and thicken up the meadow over time. This homeowner's routine is to go outside with her cup of coffee and enjoy the cast of characters she sees visiting the garden.
